Delegate Control

It means to make manager for OU or department. It is use to decentralize our network.

To give delegate rights :-

AD users and computers    -> OU   -> Rt. click    -> Delegate Control    -> Add   ->

User or group       -> Delegate the common task       -> Next      -> Finish

NOTE:

Delegate the common task  include users and groups tasks while   Delegate the custom task include all tasks.

NOTE: To check the existing delegate controls :-

AD users and computers    -> View menu    -> click Advance Features    -> OU     -> Properties      -> Security tab   -> Advance

MMC (Microsoft Management Console)

MMC is collection of snap-in (administrative tools) and it is use for administrative purpose only. It can be use in any OS like client OS in the domain and workgroup network.

We can create taskpad for our managers. Taskpad is the way to create and manage MMC. Taskpad means we can create link of particular snap-in. We will not install all the administrative tools or the entire AD but we can choose snap-in as per our requirement.  We must give delegate control with Taskpad.

Objective :-

To create Taskpad for creating new users in OU.

Options in Taskpad :-

1. Create taskpad

2. Edit or modify taskpad

3. Add new task in existing taskpad

4. Give delegate control for creating child OU

5. Customize taskpad

6. Apply security in taskpad

7. Customize taskpad again as default by using the following command :

                RUN          [        mmc  /a   c:\console1.msc      ]    <┘
